Yes, I admit it. I got sucked into Facebook. It is actually quite interesting to find out what some of my friends from high school/college have been up to. I invite you to post your information her so we can add each other.

I think there's actually a Fazed Facebook club. I don't think anyone paid any attention to it though.
i found out a guy i went to school with is living as a woman now... thankyou facebook!
I won't post my last name on fazed, and I won't add people that I haven't met in real life. But I do love facebook. I just started using it about a month ago.
Yeah, there's a Fazed group on Facebook. I've added a few fazers as friends.
/palm face
aha, found the group. I guess the MODs can lock er up
It's okay, it can stick around for a bit. The group is pretty dead I think, maybe this will encourage more people to join up or something.
I think Facebook will finally prove that I and Inscr Delusions are not the same person
facebook is dreadful
No, facebook is a great way to network and keep up with friends and family.
MySpace is for attention whores and people that generally need to be put to sleep.

I have a myspace account only for my music though, so I guess I would fall into the attention whore group. It's for business purposes only though, I assure you.
Facebook is blocked here at work and I am surprised I'm even allowed to type the word here.

your mom has all my information
Facebook is blocked, but MySpace isn't?
Yeah, I think it's pretty useful to talk to my friends who have moved to other far-away locations.
Although it does seem a little unusual how people I've met once in real life sometimes request to be Facebook friends.
I guess that's how they have a roster of like 600 friends.
"Hey, remember that one pleasant conversation we had that one time for 15 minutes? We're friends now!!"

Oh man, this is so true.
I currently have 393 friends, and I bet half of them fall into this category.

Wait, are you on MyFace? :D
no myspace is blocked too.
I meant to conclude that I've got folks begging me to join facebook, but by the time I get home I lose interest.

I despise both FB and MS. I especially hate my friends who want me to get on either one of them or both to talk and stuff. These are mostly people who live in town, have my number, email or the like. Just fucking call me FFS or say hi when you walk by......
I can imagine in 50 years no one will leave their homes or PC's. Everyone can do work from home and all social interaction will be done via FB or MS types of things. No physical contact whatsoever.

someone I know got expelled from a summer program cause she had a picture of something involving soup in her facebook.
I've also heard of people getting fired for stuff found on peoples pages so watch what you post.

for folks in their 20s or 30s, it will come faster than 50 years, trust me. By the time you hit 40 the last thing you want to do, usually, is go cavorting around with a gang of friends. It's usually more like "leave me alone, I'd rather stay home".

Great point... actually one of my students got caught with this... her dad was applying for a job with the federal government and during the interview, they showed him a photo of his daughter enjoying a bowl of "soup".
She was really depressed that her dad got punished, not herself... :(
twitter is where its at. no one know shit over there

Facebook offers a limited profile option, where you can block certain people from viewing things in your profile that may be questionable.
"Hey, remember that one pleasant conversation we had that one time for 15 minutes? We're friends now!!"
I went through my list at the end of college and deleted all these people... went from like 600 people down to 130 or so.
I've had facebook for a good four or five years now, back when it started. It's a good tool to keep in contact with friends in other states and such but other than that I don't have much use for it.
I don't trust that in anyway, it's not hard to get peoples myspace pictures even if their account is set to private.
I use Facebook to see how fat people have gotten since high school.

You can't get to anything on a private facebook profile, it's not like myspace. All you can see in a private profile is a name and a tiny little thumbnail of the profile picture.
I dunno why anyone wouldn't have their profiles set to totally private.

Have you seen Pixar's latest movie Wall-E? They mention that very thing. People are floating around on hover chairs, not even a couple feet away from eachother, talking to eachother through their computers. In the movie, it's kinda funny and pathetic, but I'll bet you're right, it's not that far off.
haha. I'd say about 80% of people in my HS have ballooned up. Thank you for building my self esteem facebook!
Joined the FB group!

So the gov't doesn't get pics of them doing soup and doesn't hire or possibly fires their dad!

Most of the people I went to high school with haven't changed much, but a lot of my college friends have really porked up since we graduated. Kinda strange to look at a picture of a girl you used to think was super attractive that now weighs 50 more pounds than she did 2 years ago.
WTF HAPPENED!
Yeah, I recommend "friends only" settings for everything, especially photos.

Amen! Most of the girls that my father harassed me for not being interested in are chunkers now.
I chose wisely.
I'm hooked the FB.
Most of the people that I went to High school with are married and have kids. It is weird to see us as adults
I'm not sure why there being a Facebook Fazed group implies that you cant have a Fazed Facebook thread

Let's not go classifying you as an adult yet, mkay?
Shut up fetus
You're all feti
so is facebook better than classmates.com? I hate classmates.com with their pay-to-see-who-wants-to-talk-to-you bullshit. I wish there was a website for that shit that's free... i guess that is what facebook is all about then right?
I don't know anything about classmates.com
save for what you just said about it.
I'm gonna say facebook is better.

i'm pretty sure facebook isnt facing a big lawsuit over false advertising claims
It is, however, facing a lawsuit because the creator, Mark Zuckerburg (allegedly) took either the coding or the idea from two of his classmates.
i have loads of weird men asking to be my friend on facebook. it's not myspace... i don't accept their friend requests
also my family are on there and got a bit of stick for using the word "cunting" on a status update from my aunt

Yeah, Rolling Stone did a huge article on it. If it's all true, I can't believe this guy hasn't been brought down earlier.
I love facebook and check it from my phone all the time.
I do have a lot of people I met once as friends on there, but it's ok. I keep in touch with old friends very well this way.
"So Bobby, I got married and had a kid!"
"I know, facebook"
